Basic information of the sector
The jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture in the field of theatre is to:
- Prepare proposals for the strategy of the state cultural policy in the field of theatre,
- Participate in the development and improvement of conceptual projects, legislation and regulatory enactments related to the theatre sector,
- Oversee the operation of the theatres subordinated to and supervised by the Ministry of Culture;
- Develop proposals for allocation of funds from the state budget to the theatre sector,
- Provide methodological assistance to theatres and organizations related to theatre,
- Develop proposals for drafting of agreements on international cooperation of the Ministry of Culture.
